Artist’s Statement
At the age of thirteen, I began studying and copying the works of Rembrandt, Velázquez, and various French painters. This early practice was invaluable in helping me understand the nuances of oil painting, which remains my sole medium to this day.
It wasn't until my mid-twenties that galleries started inviting me to exhibit my work. Since then, I’ve continued to walk the fine line between the figurative and the abstract.
I am deeply grateful for the many people who have expressed their admiration for my art. Now, in my eighties, I remain committed to painting and plan to continue as long as I am able.
